Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data NinetyFour Labs collects, how we use it, and the choices you have across our website, browser extensions, desktop and mobile apps, APIs, and related services.
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Local-first
Our browser extensions and apps keep your settings and inputs on your own device wherever possible.
No data sales
We never sell or rent your personal data, and we never use it for advertising.
Data minimization
We only collect what a product genuinely needs to function, and nothing more.
1. Scope & who we are
NinetyFour Labs ("NinetyFour Labs," "we," "us," or "our") builds networking tools, browser extensions, API automation, custom software, and security training. This Privacy Policy applies to all of our products and services, including our website, our current and future browser extensions, desktop and mobile applications, and any associated APIs or backend services (together, the "Services").
Some products may display additional, product-specific privacy information in their store listing or in-app. Where a product-specific notice conflicts with this policy, the product-specific notice governs for that product.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Data we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on which Service you use, the following categories may apply:
a) Information you provide directly
- Contact details - such as your name, email address, and the contents of a message when you use our contact form or email us.
- Inputs you enter into a product - for example, a phone number, configuration value, or preference you type into an extension or app so it can perform the task you asked for.
- License keys - the activation key for a paid product, plus a randomly generated device/instance identifier used to validate it.
b) Information stored on your device
Many of our products store your settings and inputs locally on your device (for example, in browser storage or app storage) so the product works and remembers your preferences. This locally stored data is not transmitted to NinetyFour Labs unless a specific feature explicitly requires it and this is disclosed to you.
c) Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data - when you visit our website or our servers handle a request, our hosting and infrastructure providers may log standard information such as IP address, browser/user-agent, timestamps, and pages requested, for security, debugging, and reliability.
- License validation metadata - when a paid product checks a license, the request may include the license key and instance identifier and standard network metadata handled by our payment/licensing provider.
We do not knowingly collect special category / sensitive data (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data), and our products are not designed to do so.
3. Browser extensions & apps (including Chrome Web Store)
Our browser extensions are built to do one narrow job each. They request the minimum permissions needed and handle your data as described below. This section also serves as our disclosure for stores such as the Chrome Web Store.
Permissions we commonly use
- storage - to save your settings, inputs, and license status locally so the product works and remembers your preferences.
- alarms - to schedule lightweight background tasks, such as periodically re-validating a paid license.
- host permissions - to run on the specific site(s) a product supports and, where applicable, to contact our licensing/payment provider's API. We scope these to the narrowest set of sites required.
Data handling
- Inputs you provide to an extension (such as a phone number) are stored locally and used only to perform the feature you requested. They are not sent to NinetyFour Labs.
- An extension may read or modify content on a supported page only as needed to perform its single purpose, and only on the sites named in its permissions.
- The only data our extensions send off-device is what is strictly required - for example, sending a license key to our payment/licensing provider to activate or validate a purchase.
No remote code; Limited Use
Our extensions execute only code bundled within the published package. We do not load remote scripts or run arbitrary code such as eval(). Our use of any data obtained through the Services complies with the applicable store's Limited Use / User Data policies, including the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements: we only use the data to provide and improve the product's single purpose, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending.
4. How we use data
We use data to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- Perform the specific task you requested (e.g., apply a setting you entered).
- Process purchases and validate licenses for paid products.
- Respond to your messages and provide customer support.
- Secure the Services, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for ads, or to build data brokerage products.
6. Payments & licensing
Paid products are sold through our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record. When you buy a license, your payment details (such as card information) are entered on the provider's secure checkout - NinetyFour Labs does not receive or store your full card number or payment credentials.
To activate and verify a purchase, a product may send your license key and a device/instance identifier to the provider's license API. Please also review the payment provider's own privacy policy for details on how they process payment data.
7. Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Locally stored product data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the product. Contact and support correspondence is retained as long as needed to assist you and for reasonable record-keeping. License and transaction records are retained as required for support, accounting, and legal compliance.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), minimizing what we collect, and keeping product logic on your device where possible. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because much of our product data stays on your device, you can often exercise these directly - for example, by clearing the extension's stored data or uninstalling it.
For data we hold (such as contact messages or license records), you can make a request using the contact details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International transfers
We may process and store data in countries other than yours. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers as required by applicable law.
12. Third-party services & links
The Services may link to or rely on third parties (such as payment, hosting, or email providers, and websites our extensions operate on). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
